Iris Photography is not your typical, traditional photographer. There are several things that we do in the name of customer service and quality that, in our combination, you will not find anywhere else. Our sole purpose is to make sure that you are thrilled with us and our results. For example, we will give you a copy of the pictures from your wedding on a disk. Now we do not mean some low-resolution junk that you cannot show off, we mean the full deal. All of the pictures are the full resolution images we use to make your prints and albums. Oh, and before you ask, the cost is nothing. We also do not charge by the time we spend at your wedding. This is what we mean when we say… ‘You will be thrilled with us.’

You don’t charge by time?

It’s true that most photographers charge by the time they spend at your wedding. We do not charge this way for our services. We will be there two hours prior to your wedding, and will not leave until the final event at your reception. We simply do not believe in being “in the box” or placing restrictions on the boss (that’s you).

Will you hassle us if we don’t want to see each other for pictures before the ceremony?

No… Never… Not going to happen… It is true that the classic romantic poses turn out better before the ceremony, and before your make-up can start to run, but your wedding is not JUST about your photographs. It is about you, and you are the boss. It is totally up to you.

Why should I hire a “professional” when my friend has a great digital camera?

We're sure your friend has the best intentions in mind, but a professional photographer brings with them training and years of experience. Having a great pair of scissors cannot make your friend a professional hair stylist, and having a camera cannot make them a professional photographer. This is one of the most important days of your life. Who are you going to trust it to?

Do you use black and white or color?

We use both. All of our images are taken in a high-resolution digital format, which can be rendered in color or black and white. This gives us the flexibility to do either and both. This, again, is totally up to you.

How hard is it for my family to order prints from my wedding?

This is very easy. All you have to do is give the family member or friend wanting them your proof book. They can then call us and order as much as they want. There is nothing else you have to do. (also check out the next question)

Can I copy or reproduce your prints some other way?

Yes, at Iris Photography, we believe that you already paid for the wedding package and that includes your photographs. After you have received your album we will release the high-resolution image disk to you, and it will be up to you how you want to reproduce the images. However, We do not suggest reproducing them yourself, as images produced on your home computer or through high volume photo labs rarely produce the quality that we can. You will always have the option of getting reprints through us.

Can you take the small blemishes out of my pictures, and how much does that cost?

Yes, we can and will on every photo we publish. We take out stray hairs, facial blemishes, and other minor problems at no cost to you. That is the Iris commitment to quality and making sure that you are thrilled.

Many photographers insist on making the wedding albums themselves and picking out the pictures that go in them. Do you?

No. Who has creative control over any album is up to the boss (you again). If you want to design it we will set up a consultation and work with you until it’s right. If you want to take advantage of our experience and let us design it for you we can do that too. We trust by now you are getting the “It’s all up to you” theme. That is one of the ways we can guarantee that you will be thrilled.

Do you travel outside of West Tennessee?

Yes, however travel charges will apply depending on distance and destination.
